**The wait is over! Runwago V2 is coming!**

Dear runners, the weather is getting better, so it’s a great time to launch the new running season with the ultimate motivation app and start monetizing your running goals!

Below is a step-by-step process explaining how we will migrate from V1 to Runwago V2, heading toward millions of Web2 users who do not care about crypto but want to monetize their running goals.

## Migration from Runwago V1 to V2

In general, participation in Runwago V1 challenges was possible solely with Runwago tokens, and all rewards were also paid in Runwago tokens. From now on, with Runwago V2, the challenges will be called Online Running Events, and all rewards will be referred to as Prize Money. As we enter Web2 payment systems, this wording update is necessary from a legal perspective in order to align with applicable laws across multiple jurisdictions.

* **Step 2:** Removal of all Web3 in-app features that are restricting us in several markets, such as China. *Expected timeline: COMPLETED* 
* **Step 3:** Launching a new build for the App Store and Google Play, with fiat support implemented and all Web3 features removed, along complete shutdown of all Web3 challenges, with all tokens returned to challenge participants on the backend side. *Expected timeline: End of the March 2026*
* **Step 4:** A two-week community testing period for fiat-based challenges, accessible via private invitation codes. Expected timeline: *From the end of March 2026 to mid-April 2026* 
* **Step 5:** Public launch of Runwago V2 with fiat support. *Expected timeline: End of April 2026*
